Korea is called a rock country covered with so many world class mountains. In Seoul, there is a Bukhan Mt., a national park and one of the top 10 most beatiful mountains in Korea. It can be easily accessed through subway trains. CJ, Misha, Kyler, and myself went to the tallest mountain in Seoul BaekWoonDae summit (through DoSunSa Temple-InSooBong Rock trail) on Sep. 18 located in BukAk National Park. It took about 2.5 hours (steep climbing) to go up to the rocky top and about 1.5 hours to come down. Dr. Lee also went to the DoBong Mountain (also a part of the BukAk National Park in Seoul) on Sep. 20 through MangWolSa Buddhism Temple trail. It took 2 hours to the top temple and 1 hour to return. We truely understand why Korea is called a Country of Rocks. Nature and trails were very nicely preserved...and they were simply BEAUTIFUL!! First 8 photos are from the BaekWoonDae Rocky summit and the remainding photos are from the MangWolSa Temple trail in Do Bong Mountain. The Seoul view from the BaekWoonDae and also from the MangWolSa temple were spectacular. New easy hiking roads (50 km long) are open from this year. It is called Bukhasan Dule Gil. Strong recommendation for ALL!
